As a national center for documentation, conservation, exhibition, interpretation, preservation and promotion of Bhutanese textiles the Textile Museum invests in an active acquisitions strategy to develop its permanent collections. The Textile museum is mandated to identify and subsequently acquire textile artifacts of historical, cultural, religious significance including contemporary masterpieces for posterity.
